1191 AND 1193 NORTH SUMMIT AVENUE

 1191 and 1193 N. Summit Ave (2005)

HHP completed the rehabilitation of 1191 N. Summit and the new construction of 1193 N. Summit in February 2005. Both homes were sold to first-time home buyers via a competitive application process.  1191 N. Summit was built in 1912 and is a two-story, six-bedroom, two-bath Transition Craftsman style home.  This home was completely rehabbed, with repaired foundation, new plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.  The home was in a deteriorated state when purchased by HHP, although significant architectural features have been preserved or repaired (for example, the dining room breakfront, ceiling moldings, hardwood floors, wood windows).  The home was sold to a family of five who had been long-term renters in Northwest Pasadena.

The new home (1193 N. Summit Avenue) was built at the back of the lot and is a three bedroom, two bath home with a private backyard and views of the mountains from the second story.  A family of three, also long-term renters in Northwest Pasadena, purchase the home in early 2005.
